The Colon Free Zone is a customs territory located in Panama, but segregated from it in tax and tributary matter, from which goods can be imported and exported, free from tariff, fees, customs rights and sales taxes. Its geographical position located in the province of Colon at the entrance from the Atlantic Ocean through the Panama Canal, makes it a strategic point for import and re-export of merchandise towards the rest of the countries of the American continent.
This free zone also has a special tax regime that offers the exemption of several operation taxes, with the purpose of promoting the establishment of companies in its premises.
